# Hobbs and tach readings

**September 2026** · Flights & Aircraft

Aircraft that record a Hobbs or tach meter now keep those readings on every flight. Your aircraft logbook shows the meter readings and the time flown, so hours always agree with the meter.

***

### What changed

* **Readings are required** on flights for aircraft that record a Hobbs and/or tach meter. The flight form shows those fields and helps you fill them in.
* **The logbook shows meters.** Start, end and time for each meter appear in the export, in decimal hours, for the meters the aircraft records.
* **Hours follow the meter.** When an airframe clock is changed, the affected flights are recounted, and an undo is available.
* **Clear messages** tell you what is missing when a meter reading is not accepted.

Aircraft with no meter configured are not affected.
